Ritual to Living
Adepoju Timileyin O. | poetry
I'm once a mother of three,
Left them all to another phase of
my peace-seeking sojourn.
I'm once the beautiful waterfall,
screaming, running and gushing
through nose and nooks of hills.
Countless and probably more,
More of life and time,
Happiness and experience that
I lost all to comfort of dream land.
And now I beg, Allow my offerings
to sit on a platter of wish,
Let the incense of my
pains fill the empty room
of thought,
While reality becomes the stage
for my deeds, my dream.
